Chocolate Butterscotch Haystacks

Butterscotch and chocolate chips melted with chow mein noodles make a quick sweet-and-salty candy that everyone loves.

ingredients
2 cups butterscotch chips
2 cups chocolate chips
12 ounces chow mein noodles
directions
Combine the butterscotch chips and chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler over simmering, not boiling, water. Mix until melted and smooth.
Remove the pan from the heat. Stir the chow mein noodles into the melted chocolate and mix until coated.
Drop the chocolate mixture by spoonfuls onto a waxed paper lined tray. Place in the refrigerator until set. Store in an airtight container.

I dress these up just a bit. I melt white chocolate in another double boiler. When I add the noodles I gently stir the white chocolate in so it sort of swirls.
