- add review
- #77898

under 30 minutes
ingredients
1 cup tomato sauce, homemade or commercial
3/4 pound dried pasta of your choice
1/2 pound green beans, trimmed and cut in half
2 ounces fresh goat cheese, such as Montrachet
salt, to taste
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
directions
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Meanwhile, heat the tomato sauce in a saucepan or nonstick frying pan.
When the water reaches a boil, add 1 tablespoon salt and gradually add the pasta. Stir to make sure the pasta doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot.
About 5 minutes before the pasta is done, add the green beans to the pot. Cook until the pasta is al dente, or firm to the bite. Drain.
Toss the pasta and green beans in a warm pasta bowl with the tomato sauce and goat cheese. Add salt and pepper and serve.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
