Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.

Lemony pasta is a welcome alternative to heavy, tomato sauce-laden noodles. The trifecta of basil, lemon juice, and parmesan makes a light yet flavorful dish.
1/2 pound linguine pasta
2 teaspoons butter
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil leaves
3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Cook the linguine in a large pan of boiling water until al dente as directed on the package. Drain the pasta well and return it to the pan.
Add the butter, lemon juice, basil, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and black pepper to the pasta and toss well.
Place the pasta in individual serving bowls and sprinkle each serving with grated Parmesan. Serve immediately.

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

Very good and light flavors, but no way it serves four people. Two as a side dish maybe. I doubled it.

Wonderful flavor and filling by itself or you could add a salad or vegetable side.
