Slow Cooker Beer Baked Beans

ingredients

1 pound dry navy beans
1/2 pound lean chorizo sausage
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
4 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 large onion, sliced
12 ounces beer

directions

Sort, wash and drain beans; cover with water and soak overnight.

Drain beans and place in crock pot. Remove and discard outer casing from chorizo; chop chorizo. Add to crock pot along with the remaining ingredients. Mix well.

If needed, add more beer to cover beans. Cover; cook on low for 6-8 hours. Add more liquid if necessary during cooking time.
