These elevated baked beans take the classic Boston recipe with mustard and molasses and add a twist of teriyaki for a bit of Asian flair.

3 tablespoons lite teriyaki sauce
3 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 can (31 ounce size) pork and beans
1/8 teaspoon liquid smoke
Combine the teriyaki sauce, molasses, brown sugar, onion, mustard, and beans in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir gently then let the mixture come to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and let cook, uncovered, for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the liquid smoke then serve the beans.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.
