Slow Cooker Barbecue Country-Style Ribs

ingredients
3 1/2 pounds country-style ribs
Sauce
1 dash Tabasco (optional)
1 dash black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon mustard
1 teaspoon celery seed
3 tablespoons soy or Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
4 tablespoons lemon juice
2 onions, finely chopped
2 tablespoons vinegar
8 ounces tomato sauce
directions
Preheat the broiler.
Place the ribs in a single layer on a broiler pan and place under the broiler. Turn once so both sides are browned.
Place the browned ribs in the crock pot.
Combine all the sauce ingredients until well mixed. Pour over the ribs.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or until the ribs are tender.
