Slow Cooker Asian Pork Strips

Strips of lean pork stewed in the crockpot with soy sauce, garlic, and BBQ sauce get the perfect complement from little bursts of tropical pineapple flavor.

ingredients

1 tablespoon oil
3 pounds lean pork, cut into strips
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup dry sherry
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1 can (8 ounce size) pineapple chunks, undrained

directions

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the pork strips and cook, stirring, until browned. Drain any excess oil.

Combine the pork with the remaining ingredients in the crock pot and mix well.

Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 6 hours or until the pork is cooked through.

Serve the pork and sauce over cooked rice.
