Ingredients:
2 pounds pork, not too lean
Water
1 clove garlic
2 teaspoons salt
1 small dried chile pepper
OR
1 dash Tabasco
Directions:
Cut pork in pieces. Add just enough water to cover; crush garlic in the salt and add along with the chile.
Simmer until pork is tender and the water absorbed. Pour off fat and reserve.
Shred meat with a fork. Discard chile.
Add reserved fat and cook, stirring occasionally until meat is crisp.
Serve with tostadas, guacamole, and sliced tomato.
