ingredients
3 pounds unpeeled large raw shrimp
1 bottle (16 ounce size) Italian salad dressing
1 1/2 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
2 cloves garlic, pressed
2 lemons, halved
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/2 cup butter, cut into bits
directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the shrimp, Italian dressing, black pepper, and garlic in a large baking dish (13x9 or larger). Stir to coat the shrimp in the dressing.
Squeeze the lemons and drizzle the juice over the shrimp. Sprinkle the shrimp with the parsley and distribute the cut up butter evenly over everything.
Place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Do not overcook. Stir the shrimp after 10 minutes. Serve the shrimp from the pan with french bread for dipping in the sauce.
cook's notes
Buy the ez-peel style shrimp or cut a slit in the shell down the back of the shrimp with a sharp scissors. You can also use peeled shrimp and reduce the cooking time.
nutrition data
The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
