Grilled Hawaiian Fish With Papaya Relish

ingredients
2 pounds Hawaiian fish (e.g., Ono, Ahi, Mahi)
1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
salt
black pepper
PAPAYA RELISH
1/4 cup minced white onion
1 1/4 cup diced ripe papaya
3/4 cup diced red bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
directions
Grill the fish and cut into serving pieces. Arrange papaya relish and hot fish equally on warm plates. Garnish plates with cilantro. Add salt and pepper to taste.
PAPAYA RELISH: In a fine strainer, rinse white onion. Soak onion in ice water for 30 minutes; drain. Mix with rest of relish ingredients.
