Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

ingredients
2 pounds whole fish
oil for brushing the fish
1 1/2 tablespoon lime juice
salt, to taste
1 cup whipped yogurt (curd)
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon green chili paste
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon tomato sauce
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

After cleaning the fish, make slanting gashes on the fish on each side. Do this in such a way that the fish remains whole.
Combine all ingredients except for fish and oil. This is the marinade. Place the fish in a bowl and marinate for about 4 hours.
Prepare a baking dish and brush the bottom of the dish with a little oil. Carefully place the fish in the center of the dish and brush with some oil on top. Pour any remaining marinade into the dish and bake in a moderate oven at 375 degrees F F till the fish is done and becomes golden brown at the top (10-20 minutes).
Serve garnished with coriander leaves and lemon wedges.
