6 toast rounds (4-inch size)
1/4 cup melted butter
6 slices Gruyere cheese
6 eggs
salt and pepper, to taste
6 tablespoons grated Gruyere cheese
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Dip the toast rounds in butter, arrange in individual baking dishes, and top with a slice of cheese. Bake until the cheese melts.
Place an egg on top of each slice of cheese and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake until set, about 10 minutes.
