Chocolate Almond Cake With Chocolate Frosting

ingredients
Cake
1 package dark chocolate cake mix
1/4 cup finely chopped almonds
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/3 cup oil
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/4 cup water
3 eggs
Chocolate Frosting
1 pint whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
directions
Cake: Mix as cake mix. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 35 minutes in greased and floured pans
Chocolate Frosting: In chilled bowl, combine all topping ingredients, except almonds. Beat at highest speed until stiff peaks. Slice cooled cake into 4 layers. Spread 1/4 topping on each. Sprinkle with almonds. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Store in refrigerator.

Recipe is a bit vague but you are to stack the frosted layers. I omitted the cloves. Didn't sound good to me.
