8 ounces crushed pineapple undrained
21 ounces cherry pie filling
1 box devils food cake mix
1 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup butter, melted


Drain pineapple, reserving the liquid. Spread pineapple in a lightly greased 9x13 baking pan. Add pie filling, spreading gently over the pineapple.

Sprinkle dry cake mix over pie filling; top with nuts. Combine butter and reserved pineapple liquid. Drizzle over cake mix. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes. Serve with whipped topping.
