1 1/2 cup lowfat milk
1/4 cup cocoa powder
3 ounces bittersweet chocolate
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 1/2 cup lowfat plain yogurt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Using a sauce pan, combine sugar and cornstarch and milk and cook over medium high heat, whisking in egg, while continuing to stir constantly. Continue to cook until mixture is thick and coats the back of a spoon.
Stir in chocolate and cool. Add vanilla and yogurt and freeze according to manufacturer directions for your particular ice cream and frozen yogurt machine.
