Cardamom brewed coffee makes this ice cream recipe extra special
Coffee
5 tablespoons finely ground french roast coffee or espresso roast coffee
2 teaspoons ground cardamom
1 cup water, for brewing coffee
Ice Cream
1/2 teaspoon finely ground french roast coffee or espresso roast coffee
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
Brew the coffee with the French or espresso coffee grounds and ground cardamom with the water.
Transfer the brewed coffee to a heatproof bowl. Whisk in the sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, the remaining ground coffee and ground cardamom.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Churn the mixture in your ice cream maker, following the manufacturer's instructions.

If you like coffee you'll love this ice cream. The cardamom gave it a warm flavor and even though it called for sweetened condensed milk, it wasn't overly sweet. Really a great ice cream
