1/2 cup light tequila
1/2 cup sugar

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

We chilled the liquid before putting it into our ice cream machine, and then chilled it after as well. At first we weren't sure it'd set up because of the amount of tequila but it did. The tequila flavor isn't apparent, it's mostly grapefruit. Very refreshing. You can adjust the sweetness with the amount of sugar you add. Fresh squeezed pink grapefruit will work best, but we also tried with a bottled "light" pink grapefruit juice and it turned out perfect.
