ingredients
3 pounds pot roast
1 onion, diced
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 clove garlic, minced
3 bay leaves
2 teaspoons allspice
2 medium heads cabbage
1 cup mint leaves
1 teaspoon salt
water
1 loaf french bread
directions
In a large pot, combine the first 9 ingredients, salt and water. Cook on medium heat for 4 hours. Add more water as needed. Quarter cabbage and add to soup, cook 30 minutes until cabbage is tender. Serve over sliced French bread.

Came out OK. I've never had sopas before. I made the mistake of buying a roast with hardly any fat in it and I believe that made the difference.
CAN'T REALLY RATE THIS. BUT IT IS THE SAME RECIPE THAT WAS USED AT THE MODESTO, CALIF. FESTA, ONLY IN LARGER QUANTITIES. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS RECIPE FOR A WHILE. I AM TOTALLY EXCITED TO TRY IT SOOOOON. THANK YOU FOR POSTING IT HERE
