In a cooking rut? Try one of these taste-tested, family-approved recipes using ground beef.

No extra liquid is needed in this recipe. The coating on the roast keeps it extra moist and you're left with a delicious gravy to serve with the meat.

4 pounds beef roast
4 cups mayonnaise
1 packet onion soup mix
Sprinkle the dry onion soup mix in the bottom of the crock pot.
Spread the mayonnaise evenly over the entire roast (this keeps it moist).
Place the roast in the crock pot on the dry soup mix.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low temp for 4-6 hours or until the roast is tender.
Remove the roast from the crock pot to a cutting board and slice.
Stir the gravy that formed in the crock pot and serve alongside the roast.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.
