Slow Cooker Beef Roast With Dried Fruit (& Beer)

ingredients
2 onions, sliced
3 pounds beef arm or boneless pot roast (2-inches thick)
11 ounces mixed dried fruit
3/4 cup beer
1 cup water
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1 bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
6 spiced apple rings, or to taste
directions
Place sliced onions in bottom of Crock-Pot and place roast on top (cut in half, if necessary, to fit easily). Cover with dried fruit. Mix remaining ingredients except apple rings and pour over roast.
Cover and cook on LOW setting for 6 to 8 hours. Serve garnished with spiced apple rings.
