Quick Fruit Cobbler

ingredients
1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup diced fruit (your choice of fruit)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions
Melt butter and pour into a 9 x 11-inch pan. Mix flour and sugar together and gradually add milk to this mixture until mixed well. Add vanilla.
Pour into pan. Add fruit and bake at 350 degrees F oven for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
Wonderful with ice cream or milk while it's still hot.
