ingredients
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
8 ounces toffee bits
directions
Beat together the shortening with the sugars and eggs until well blended. Stir in vanilla, flour, baking soda and toffee bits.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until golden. Do not over bake. Cool slightly and remove to rack.
