Fluffy White Frosting Recipe

Serves/Makes: 2.5 cups
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 dash salt
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
In saucepan combine sugar, water, cream of tartar, and salt. Bring to boiling, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Very slowly add sugar syrup to egg whites in mixer bowl, beating constantly with electric mixer about 7 minutes or till stiff peaks form. Beat in vanilla.
Spread over cake. Makes enough to frost a 9 x 13 size cake or a two-layer cake.
