1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup margarine
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk, PLUS"PLUS" means this ingredient in addition to the one on the next line, often with divided uses
1 tablespoon milk
directions
Cream together first four ingredients. Then add powdered sugar, one cup at a time. Then whip in milk.
Beat until fluffy. This frosting is very tasty and is real good to decorate cakes or cookies.
