This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

These chocolatey biscotti are the perfect snack or dessert. Made with a cake mix, they're super easy to make and can be tailored to your favorite flavors.
1 box (18.25 ounce size) devil's food or chocolate fudge cake mix (avoid "pudding-in-the-mix" types)
1 cup flour
2 eggs
1 stick butter, melted
3/4 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup dipping chocolate (available in the baking products aisle of most supermarkets)
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, flour, eggs and melted butter; beat with an electric mixer until dough comes together. Use your hands to knead in almonds.
Transfer dough to a baking sheet and shape into a 13- by 3-inch rectangle. Bake 35 minutes. Let cool on pan about 30 minutes, then slice into 1/2- to 3/4-inch-thick slices.
Arrange slices cut-side down on both baking sheets. Bake 15 minutes, reduce oven heat to 200 degrees and bake an additional 20 to 30 minutes, or until biscotti are dry. Let cool completely. (They will harden more as they cool.)
Melt chocolate in microwave according to package directions. Spread chocolate on biscotti bottoms, then place biscotti on parchment or wax paper and refrigerate until chocolate hardens.

Beer makes batters better, meat more tender, and sauces more flavorful.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Excellent Biscotti! These are excellent. Great taste. Easy to make. Friend said oh these should be called crunchy brownies! I added a 1/4 cup water and about 3/4 bag of chocolate chips. Used chocolate melting wafers and dipped the top of cookies in it. Added chocolate sprinkles to some, chopped pistachios to some and chocolate cookie crumbs to some. Will make these again and try other flavors.

I accidently used a box of brownie mix instead of the chocolate cake mix. I also did not frost the biscotti with the frosting, but I received SO MANY compliments on my changes of the recipe. DANGER: These biscotti are addictive!
Thanks for the terrific and easy recipe. We love Biscotti, but it costs so much at the store we rarely buy it. I am so looking forward to trying my hand at "HOMEMADE" Biscotti. Keep up the good work providing amateur cooks such as myself great recipes to try.

I baked these using walnuts (which is the only nuts I had) and we loved them. They are great with coffee in the morning.
