ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
1 teaspoon soda
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 pound salted Spanish peanuts
directions
Cream shortening. Add sugar gradually. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Sift flour and soda and add to mixture. Add rolled oats and peanuts and mix well.
Shape dough with hands into small balls. Place on cookie sheet and bake in preheated 425 degrees F oven about 7 minutes.
