Feeling stressed? Take it out on some cookie dough! These aggression cookies are more than a tasty treat; they're a stress-relief activity you can eat!
1 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cups old-fashioned or quick-cooking rolled oats
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
granulated sugar, as needed
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the brown sugar, butter, oats, baking soda, and flour in a large bowl. Mash together the ingredients with your hands until they form a dough.
Form the dough into small balls (1-inch size) and place them on an ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Grease the bottom of a glass, dip it in granulated sugar, and use it to flatten the cookie dough balls.
Place the aggression cookies in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned.
Remove the cookies from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 3 minutes then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
When the cookies are cool, store in an airtight container.

I've baked these cookies for over 30 years. Would take to Senior Center once a month, the elderly loved them. They are called "Agression Cookies" for a reason! The more you knead them, the better tasting they are. Still bake for church functions, always get request for recipe. Next time you need to take out your Anger, Fears, Sadness, whatever, take it out on kneading a batch of these cookies.

UGH! This was the WORST cookie recipe ever! I needed a good cookie recipe for a bake sale at my child's school and thought I'd give this one a shot. The cookies were SO dry and crumbly, I Could barely stack them atop one another to send them off and boy was I embarrassed for sending such horribly dry cookies for a bake sale but I didn't have time to make anymore, I was up til after midnight with these as it was. I ended up calling them "Oatmeal Crumb Cookies." Don't waste your time or your ingredients!
