Candied Yams With Pineapple And Pecans

ingredients
1 can yams, drained and mashed
1/2 cup margarine, melted
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons ginger
2 teaspoons nutmeg
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 can pineapple bits
1 cup pecans
miniature marshmallows
directions
Put mashed yams in casserole. Mix together margarine, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, brown sugar and honey. Mix in yams with pineapple bits and pecans. Top with miniature marshmallows. Bake at 325 degrees F until heated through and marshmallows are bubbly.

I have tried to comment with the star method and unable. So I will rate accordingly. Family Friendly, No one liked . Comments were to soupy, to much ginger and not tasty.

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving and it turned out wonderful. I did drain both the yams & the pineapples. I also used a little less margarine (1/4 cup), and a little more brown sugar (1/3 cup), and it still came out amazing. One bag of mini-marshmallows was perfect to cover the top of the yams before baking.
This recipe sounds yummy. I would like to know if the pineapply bits should be drained?
