Made this with Brandy since that's what I had in the house. Delicious and quick!
What is icing sugar?
It's another name for powdered sugar.

This was an excellent recipe. They set up fast and didn't have to have wafers as a bonding agent because of the nuts. I did however need more bourbon to suit my personal taste. Thanks!

The very best rum ball recipe! It's simple to make and my family loves it! I have made this a holiday tradition.
I have made many rum ball recipes in the past, but never have I made ones that taste this good. This is the best recipe ever. My mother took all that were left home, my cleaning lady's asked me to make 5 batches for her daughters wedding. They are by far the best ever Sharon

I just tried making these. I had rum balls before and this was the first recipe I found that was similar to what I had (no vanilla wafers!). I changed it a bit by using Irish Cream. I had to add more than 1/4 (closer to 1/3) but it was still lacking a bite that I wanted. So I added some whiskey (about 3T) and it came out perfect. I also ommitted the nuts, just because I'm not a fan. But overall, this recipe was very helpful! Thank you! P.S. I also plan on rolling them in cocoa powder instead.
