Easy Cherry Rum Balls

ingredients
2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup finely chopped red and/or green candied cherries
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
1/4 cup rum
3 tablespoons corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup powdered sugar
directions
In med. bowl, combine vanilla wafers, powdered sugar, cherries and pecans; mix well. Add rum, corn syrup and butter; mix well.
Shape mixture into 1" balls; roll in powdered sugar. Cover tightly. Let stand 24 hours to blend flavors.
