Baked Chicken With A Soy-Dressing Glaze
- add review
- #10027

ingredients
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon dry mustard
4 bone-in chicken breasts, skin removed
directions
Combine the Italian dressing, soy sauce, chopped onion, and mustard until blended.
Place chicken in a baking dish in a single layer. Pour the dressing mixture over the chicken evenly.
Cover with foil and bake at 400 degrees F for 45 minutes.
Remove foil and bake until chicken is browned, about another 10-15 minutes (use a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chicken - not touching the bone - to determine doneness).
cook's notes
You can use light salad dressing and low sodium soy sauce if desired. You may need to add additional seasonings if using the less salty soy sauce.

I would rate this receipt a 5! The Chicken breast were very good and tender, with much flavor. The only problem; 400 degrees for 45 minutes is too long for cooking this recipe. It should have been 45 minutes at 350 degrees. My meat almost burned going following the recipe as listed......

Easy, flavorful, a little salty for my taste.

Delicious and couldn't be easier! The only problem was that the chicken didn't brown at all. I cooked it 40 minutes covered and then about six minutes uncovered. When I saw no progress in browning I took it out of the oven. It was done and not dry, but if I had left it in until it browned, I'm sure it would have been very dry. The chicken was very tasty--even my husband, who usually likes chicken to be browned, loved it. Definitely a new go-to recipe for my family and would be perfect for feeding a crowd.

A great recipe! Took so little time to prepare. I cook only for myself - so this made 4 meals for me. One today, one tomorrow & froze 2 meals for future quick microwave meals, for when I arrive home tired & starving. So tasty, even after I had to use 1/4 cup of Balsamic Vinegar to add to the quarter cup of Italian dressing, since I only had a quarter cup of Italian dressing in the house. And the timing in the oven was perfect. Thank you for a great quick meal!

You can literally have this in the oven in 5 minutes. It was very moist and had lots of flavor. I used the the low sodium soy sauce also.

MMMMMM.... so good, does not seem like much, but oh so surprising- use low sodium soy sauce, and do not add salt-very very good and simple

Yum ! For my first attempt, I didn't have any onion, so I used a heaping tbl of minced garlic..It was so good and the chicken was so moist. I basted the chicken periodically and drizzled the remaining sauce over the chicken prior to serving. It was delicious !
