Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

1 package chocolate fudge cake mix
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1 container ready-to-spread chocolate frosting
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Heat whipping cream in 1-quart saucepan over medium heat until hot (do not boil). Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Let stand for 5 minutes.
