The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

I was trying to find this recipe online, as the one that I was given was missing part of the directions. I made mine a little bit differently. For the crust, I used the egg, and 1/3 cup of butter instead of 1/2. Next time I would have baked it for at least 15 minutes instead of 12as I would have liked it to be a little more crisp (the 1/2 cup butter may have made the difference as well). I did the next layer of the marshmallows the same, but it was the top layer that I did differently. My recipe called for half a bag of butterscotch chips, and half a bag of peanut butter. I had the butterscotch on hand, but not the peanutbutter chips, so I used actual peanut butter instead. My recipe also called to mix the rice cereal (2 cups)into this mixture, put it down on top of the marshmallows, and then press the peanuts (2 cups) down into the mixture. These are a wonderful salty sweet treat!
