The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

This recipe sounds fantastic and I would love to try it, but how do you sift the Baileys? Or does it come in a powdered form?
That's one of the oddest things I've seen, I think. At first I assumed the sifted portion was for the cake mix - but it's mentioned both places that the Bailey's is. I have no idea. You can probably safely ignore it.

My family loves these bars. I made it for my book group as well--and it was a huge hit. Delicious and Easy!

It says 1/4 cup BIC for "frosting" yet it later calls for 1/2 cup. Good Flavor if you like to eat batter. I left it in an extra 10 minutes and it never got done. What a waste of BIC...I should have just drank it!
