The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

3 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon orange food coloring
1/4 teaspoon green food coloring
directions
In small bowl blend slightly sugar, lemon juice, vanilla and almond extract, and orange food coloring.
In a small mixer bowl beat egg whites adding 1-2 tablespoons sugar mix at a time, until mixture holds stiff peaks (About 10 minutes). Reserve 2 tablespoons of mixture.
Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Add green food coloring to reserved mixture. Blend. Drop very small amount of green mixture on top of every cookie.
Bake with slightly open oven door in 250 degrees F. for 60 minutes or until cookies are completely dry.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.

Made these last weekend for my grandmother who lives in a 55+ community. She wants another batch apparently all her lady friends loved them! LOL - Easy to make and they are delicious!
