ingredients
2 sprigs fresh mint 3 wedges fresh lime 12 drops liquid sugar substitute, or granular equivalent crushed ice 2 ounces rum 6 ounces club soda
directions
Muddle mint sprigs and lime wedges with a sugar substitute in the bottom of a tall glass. When the ingredients are well pulverized, add ice to fill the glass. Add the rum and club soda. Stir very well.
You have just made a low carb mojito that tastes great!
Never heard of sweet 10 so I used splenda to taste (muddled with half a tablespoon then adjusted it a little after I mixed the drink). Rum doesn't have carbs but it is sugar alcohol that will affect low carb dieting so keep that in mind with how many you drink! Will have to burn off before proper ketosis starts again. Also, alcohol can cause cravings so watch that! Great for a booze fix when on a low carb diet if drank responsibly and in moderation.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
