Sunday Baked Ziti And Meatball Casserole

ingredients
1 package (16 ounce size) ziti or penne pasta, cooked al dente
4 cups tomato sauce
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 large egg
1 container (15 ounce size) ricotta cheese
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
8 frozen meatballs, thawed and sliced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
directions
While pasta is cooking separately, in a saucepan combine tomato sauce and Italian seasoning.
Put cooked, drained pasta back in its pan and add 3 cups sauce to pasta, tossing well. Reserve remaining 1 cup sauce.
In a medium bowl, stir together egg and next 5 ingredients.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a 13 x 9 inch baking pan, pour in half the pasta mixture and all the sliced meatballs. Drop ricotta cheese mixture by spoonfuls evenly over meatball layer. Spoon remaining pasta over the spoon reserved sauce.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes or until hot and cheese is browned.
