Baked Candied Tangerine Yams

ingredients
4 yams, canned, halved
1/2 teaspoon butter or margarine
3/4 cup pancake syrup
1 cup tangerine juice
1/4 teaspoon rum extract
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon allspice
2 tangerines, sectioned
directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a shallow baking pan arrange yam halves and dot with butter. Mix remaining ingredients, except tangerine sections. Pour over all. Bake for 25 minutes uncovered. Baste with syrup once or twice during baking.
Remove from oven and scatter tangerine sections over top of yams. Return to oven for another 5 minutes. Can be served at room temp or chilled.
