serves/makes:

ready in:
  under 30 minutes

ingredients

10 ounces brewed coffee
3 ounces Bailey's Original Irish cream
1/4 cup heavy cream, whipped until stiff peaks form
ground cinnamon (optional)

directions

Gently heat a balloon wine glass by adding very hot (not boiling) water to it and letting it sit for 1 minute. Drain the water and wipe the glass out with a clean dish towel.

Add the hot coffee to the wine glass. Stir the Irish cream into the coffee and mix gently.

Top the hot coffee with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Serve immediately.

If you want to make a larger batch of this you can add brewed coffee and Irish cream to a crock pot and keep warm. Simply top with whipped cream at serving time.

recipe tips

For a stronger coffee flavor, you can use a double shot of espresso instead of brewed coffee.

Try different toppings like chocolate curls or a sprinkle of cocoa powder.

To make a cold version of this drink, chill brewed coffee before mixing with Irish cream and top with cold whipped cream.

Adjust the amount of Irish cream to taste.

To make a festive version, add holiday spices like nutmeg, cinnamon, or pumpkin pie spice to the whipped cream topping.

If you prefer a sweeter drink, try using a flavored syrup like hazelnut or caramel in addition to the Irish cream.

For a decadent twist, drizzle caramel sauce inside the glass before adding the coffee.
