Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour -- unsifted
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter -- or margarine
1 square (1-ounce size) unsweetened baking chocolate
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup strong coffee -- hot
ice cream

Directions:

Combine 3/4 cup sugar, the flour, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl. Melt butter with baking chocolate in small saucepan over low heat; add to dry ingredients with milk and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Pour into 8" or 9" square pan.

Combine 1/2 cup sugar, the brown sugar, and cocoa in small bowl; sprinkle evenly over batter. Pour coffee over top; DO NOT STIR. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes or until center is almost set. Serve warm with ice cream.
