ingredients
1 package (2 layer size) chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients to prepare)
1 1/2 cup brewed double strength coffee, chilled
FROSTING
1/2 cup brewed double strength coffee, chilled
1/2 cup cold milk
1 package (4 serving size) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 container (8 ounce size) frozen whipped topping, thawed
directions
Prepare cake batter and bake in greased and floured 13x9 inch baking pan as directed on package, substituting the coffee for the water in the directions. Cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool thoroughly.
For Frosting: Pour coffee and milk into medium bowl; add dry pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk for 2 minutes. Gently stir in whipped topping. Spread onto cooled cake.
NOTE: Can make these into cupcakes if desired. To decorate, use teams colors or use white decorator icing to draw football laces on the top of the cake or cupcakes.
