A little cream cheese makes all the difference in a tuna sandwich. In fact, it makes a sandwich spread so good and creamy you can use it for dipping crackers or chips.
4 ounces light cream cheese, softened
1/8 teaspoon dried dill
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 can (6 ounce size) tuna, water packed, drained
8 slices whole wheat bread
lettuce, optional
tomato, optional
Combine the cream cheese, dill, and seasoned salt in a bowl. Mix well. Add the tuna and mix until well blended.
Spread the tuna mixture on half of the bread slices. Top each with lettuce and tomato, if desired. Top with the remaining bread slices. Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally and serve immediately.
