- #30341
1-2 hrs
ingredients
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
1/2 cup milk
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 cup flour
4 apples, shredded
cinnamon powder (to taste)
directions
Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl. Add milk, beat some more.
Sift the flour and baking powder in another dish. Add the flour mixture to the liquid and beat some more. Don't worry, the mixture will be thick (that is usual). Add oil and beat until the mixture is smooth.
Grease a 9" round pan with deep sides. Place half of the cake mixture in it, then layer it with the shredded apples, some cinnamon and, lastly, place the rest of the mixture in the pan. You have 3 layers: cake mixture, apples and cake mixture.
Bake the cake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 45-50 minutes.
NOTE: The best thing I like about this cake is that it is a bit moist and easy to eat. Serve when it is a bit cooled down.

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
