The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
1 package (8 ounce size) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons sherry
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup seedless raspberry preserves
directions
Combine cream cheese, sherry, and walnuts. Mix until well blended. Chill mixture for 30 minutes.
At serving time, shape into a ball. Make a hollow on the top of the ball. Spoon preserves into hollow and around sides of ball.
Serve with club crackers.
