I use a scant 2 cups of Bisquick. We like them a lot better.

Good basic sausage ball recipe. Mine took a little longer to cook in my oven, but they were awesome! I did add some chili powder and lots of pepper to mine, because that's how we roll in Louisiana.

I tried to follow this recipe as written, but there was way too much Bisquick and cheese and not nearly enough sausage. I used 2 lbs of sausage and kept the other measurements the same. Not sure how it was figured that this would make 12; we made over 100 2-inch balls.

I have used this recipe for more than 20 years. My whole family loves it and say that the season starting with Thanksgiving must have these made once or twice.

This recipe wasn't hard to put together, but does require a little bit of elbow grease to knead the ingredients together. Beware when you are making this, if you aren't serving this as an entree (which I doubt you are), this portion serves about 20 people. I doubled the recipe for 25 guests at my party, but half didn't get eaten because it made so many, not because they weren't good. One batch makes about 80 Sausage Cheese Balls.

My sister was fortunate to find this recipe on the package of âJimmy Dean Sausage.â Our family has enjoyed this as an appetizer, especially during the holidays since you can freeze the meatball mixture and bake it right before you special event. Try dipping the meatballs in honey mustard, barbeque sauce, sweet and sour or teriyaki. We also have served it as a main entrée with sweet and sour sauce over the meatballs and a side of white rice. We have several children in my extended family and they all love it! One little boy asked to have this recipe made for his birthday dinner ~ even though he could choose anything to eat or his favorite restaurant. I hope that you take the opportunity to try this recipe, I am sure that you will enjoy it!

We used to make these in the Fall after hunting season using deer sausage and pepperjack cheese......a little different twist! Thanks for the memories!

When my sisters and I were younger our mother would let us make these with her. I always remember the smell of the cheese and how fun it was to make. I'm so happy to have the recipe for these again and can't waite to make them with my little brother and sister.
