ingredients

2 sticks butter
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1 tablespoon vinegar
2 cups brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup peanuts
5 quarts popped popcorn

directions

Boil butter, corn syrup, vinegar and brown sugar for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add baking soda, vanilla and peanuts. Pour over popped corn and stir.

Bake for 1 hour at 250 degrees F. stirring every 15 minutes. Cool before serving. Store in plastic to retain freshness.

Tried this last night. Turned out way better than expected!
Wasn't sure what to bake it in (per recipe) so I used cookie sheets with tin foil. Wife & I LOVED IT!!

This recipe turned out really well. I found it really easy to use my 16 qt stock pot to bake the cracker jacks in the oven. The stock pot was both deep enough and nice to have the extra room when I needed to stir.
