Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookies - CDKitchen.com

ingredients

3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon ginger
3/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup softened butter or margarine
1/3 cup molasses
1 large egg
1 package (11 ounce size) butterscotch morsels

directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine the dry ingredients in a small bowl. Beat sugar, molasses, butter and egg in a large bowl until creamy. Gradually add the flour mixture until well blended. Stir in morsels.

Drop by rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes until lightly browned.

Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
