It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

1 package (18.25 ounce size) yellow cake mix
1 small box instant butterscotch pudding mix
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
Icing
1 large container Cool Whip
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup brown sugar
Mix all cake ingredients together.
Pour into lightly greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until done.
For Icing: Put brown sugar in large mixing bowl. Add softened cream cheese. Mix together with electric mixer until creamy. Mix in the entire container of Cool Whip, using mixer to blend together.
Make sure cake is cooled before frosting.

This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
