Bacon Tomato Pasta Salad

ingredients
1 package (16 ounce size) medium shell pasta
1 pound sliced bacon
1 1/2 cup ranch salad dressing
1 small onion, diced
1 tomato, diced
directions
Cook the shell pasta to al dente as directed on the package. Drain well and rinse in cool water.
While the pasta is cooking, add the slices of bacon in a single layer to a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon until crisp (in batches if necessary). Remove the bacon to paper toweling to drain.
Combine the ranch dressing, onion, and tomatoes in a large bowl. Gently fold in the pasta to coat in the dressing.
Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight. Before serving, stir gently. Add more dressing if the pasta seems dry.
Crumble the bacon and stir into the pasta salad just before serving.
