This Italian cheese is so versatile that it can be used in both sweet and savory recipes from cheesecakes to lasagnas.

Featuring pasta, baked beans, tomatoes, French fried onions and Cheddar cheese, this dish is perfect for a satisfying side dish for lunch or dinner.

1 cup small elbow macaroni or shells
1 can (28 ounce size) baked beans
2 medium tomatoes, diced
1/2 cup celery, diced
6 ounces Cheddar cheese, cubed
1 can (2.8 ounce size) French-fried onions, optional
paprika, smoked or sweet
Cook pasta according to directions. Drain and return to saucepan.
Stir in baked beans, tomatoes, celery and French fried onions (optional) and pour into serving bowl.
Just before serving, add cheese and sprinkle with paprika. Serve lukewarm.
